    Welcome.

I haven't seen Tannoy on this side of the pond for many years. They had a rather unique loudspeaker, they used the curvature of the bass woofer as part of the HF horn.

Re: Hi i'm new from Great Britain.

    Welcome!

There are still lots of Val owners that like their stock models just fine. If you're interested in tweaking a pair to squeeze the most from them, there's been plenty of effort along those lines too. The improvement concensus largely settled on replacing the 806 HF driver with either an 802, 902, or any of several other (brands), and also replacing the crossover with one that adds variable HF EQ, much like that used in the Model 19.

If interested in the latter, Google "Zilch" and "Valencia" for a start...
